4.2.5 Castors ahal not be fitted except ii one of the following arrangement.

42.9 In order to prevent a folding cot from folding unirtenhiorwdy, the folding system shad be equipped with a locking mechanlsm.
When tested In accordance wIth 5.10.1 of ISO 7175-2:1997, the folding cot shalt not fold. When the folding cot is erected tar usm. either
a) ltshalnotbepoesablelorachaldtoldtthebas.orapartofthebasewhenitisinsidethebed;or
b) a minimum force 0450 N shall be required to release the locking mechanism of the folding system before and after being tested in accordance with 5.10.204 ISO 7175-2:1997; or
C) at least two consecutive actions shall be required to release the locking mechanism of the folding system, the operation of the second being dependent on the first having been carried out and sustained; or
d) at least two separate but simultaneous actions, operating on different princles, shall be required to release the locking mechanism of the folding system; or
e) two fastening devices, separated by a distance of at least 850 mm, that have to be operated simultaneously, shall be required to release th. locking mechanism of the folding system.
Locking mechanisms other than those for drovside and folding mechanems shall have a residual force of at least SON for operating when tested in accordance with 5.102041507175-2:1997.
43.3 When the bed base macfe of mesh, it shall not be possible for the 85 rren cone as descflbed in 532 of ISO 7175-2:1997 to pass through the apertur of thu mesh. Thu diameter of the wire slid be not less than 2 ivvii.

4.4 Sides and ends
4.4.1 The internal height of the sides and ends shal be at hut 800 mm. when tested In accordance with 5.3.1 of ISO 7175-2:1997 and dirnng the test in accordance with 5.8.1 of ISO 7175-2:1997 under bad. After removal of the teal force, the internal height of the sides shall remain at least 600 mm.
4.42 The effective diameter of holes and the distance between two structural members, with the exception of the guide rod and bed post, shall be (80 41)rren. when tested in accordance with 5.3.2 of ISO 7175-2:1 997. The minwnum dirneneen applies to testing without load and the maximum dimension applies to testing with load,
4.4.3 Thu distance between the &opside guide rod and bed post slid be between 0 and 7 mm or between 12 mm and 25mm.
4.4.4 When tested in accordance with 5.6 and 5.7 of ISO 71 75-2:1997. the slats or sides and ends shal neither break nor become detached from the fastening, nor shall the permanent deformation of any side slat exceed 2 mm, Fittings and fastening devices shell not be damaged or detached and shall continue to function normally.
4.4.5 When tested in accordance with 5.8.1 of ISO 71 75-2:1997. no fracture or deformation or any other damage slid occur.
4.4.8 In the highest position of the bed base, the distance between its upper side and the upper edge of the cot side or end shall be at least 300mm, measured from the lowest point of the side or end. where th. cot side is adustab4e in height, this requirement applies to its highest position.
